Credit Card Fraud
Any customer placing an order using a credit card they have not been authorized to use or any customer that disputes a valid charge for delivered merchandise, has committed credit card fraud, a felony, and will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. If a customer disputes a valid charge from "BoatingSafer" on their credit card, a $30 fee will be imposed to cover the costs of initiating a chargeback reversal. We take credit card dispute resolution abuse very seriously. All customer billing concerns can be resolved by contacting our Customer Service team by phone or e-mail.

We believe that the best customer service tells you honestly what to expect, rather than disappoint you with broken promises and failed delivery. We utilize United Parcel Service (UPS) as a shipper of preference. We ship daily Monday-Friday. Any order placed after 2:30 PM (EST) will be shipped on the next business day.

Prices do not include shipping, insurance, *duty or taxes. (*if applicable and are the responsibility of the customer).

Order confirmation:
We will email you an order confirmation within hours of receiving your order. The confirmation will indicate when we expect any non-stock items to ship. Questions? Call us at 1-516-628-0300.

Our Return Policy:
We want you to be satisfied with every purchase, and we will make every effort to resolve any problems you may have. All products (unless noted on our site) are sold with the full manufacturer's warranty and a 30-day return policy (see below "Non-Defective Returns") . The warranty period and services varies by manufacturer and product.

The refund shall be made in the same form of payment the original purchase was made. For example, the refund will be credited back to the purchasing credit card, or wire transfer, etc.

Returns will be processed within 15 business days of receipt. You will be notified by email regarding the status of your return. Shipping and Insurance charges are not refundable.

Non-Defective Returns:
All non-defective returns must arrive in original packaging in resalable condition, with all original components (manuals, boxes, packing material, bags and so on) included, or the package will be returned to you and no refund will be given. There is a 15% restocking fee on all non-defective opened/unopened items. The customer is responsible for returning the item(s) to “BoatingSafer” at their expense. We strongly recommend that you insure the package as well as request an acknowledgement of delivery from the carrier that you use. Opened, shrink-wrapped software and functioning special order items are not returnable.

Dead-On-Arrival Products:
For orders that are Dead-On-Arrival (D.O.A.), “BoatingSafer” will arrange for a same item replacement.

Some Manufacturers have a restrictive return policy that does not allow “BoatingSafer” to take returns on their products. When you contact us for an RMA # , we will inform you if your item needs to be returned to the Manufacturer directly for a replacement.

Product Replacements:
If you are not satisfied, or your product doesn't function normally within 30 days of purchase, you may return it for a replacement of the same, or a different item. Charges or refunds will be made for price differences accordingly (exchanges made with non-defective items will incur the same 15% restocking fee as with all other non-defective returns). All shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer. “BoatingSafer” will not ship out the replacement product until we receive the original order back. You may however, place another order for the item which will ship immediately, and “BoatingSafer” will credit your account once we receive the returned item(s).

Required Return Procedures:
You must obtain a "return merchandise authorization (RMA)" code by sending an email to “BoatingSafer” Customer Service at before returning an item or call us at 516-628-0300. “BoatingSafer” will not accept any returns without an RMA. The RMA number must be written on your original invoice and on the return shipping label. Any items returned without an RMA will be refused.

Please note that if the product you're returning included a gift with purchase or other promotion, the additional item(s) must also be returned, or you may choose to have the cost subtracted from your refund. Also be aware that a return may void a multiple purchase discount.

Typographical Errors and Omissions:
Please understand that we have made every possible effort to ensure that the products, the price and additional information are as accurate as possible.

In the event that an error is made on our part we do reserve the right not to sell an item. This error may include but not be limited to the following issues:

  • Incorrect price listed (a price listed by mistake that is grossly below our cost).
  • Product availability (if a product is not available to us from its respected manufacturer).
  • Product Recall (if a product is under or pending a recall from the manufacturer).
  • Defective Product (if we become aware that a product has a material defect).
  • Public Safety (if we feel that the product will be used in a manner not related to its original intended purpose).
