BoatingSafer.com grew from our Founder's passion for boating and safety. He wanted
to ensure a pleasurable boating experience without the danger and trauma
associated with being unprepared.
Boating is one of life's richest rewards. When your boat leaves the dock you
enter a wonderful world of exploration, relaxation and enjoyment. Unfortunately,
in 2006, more than 748 lives were lost and thousands of families traumatized as
a result of recreational boating accidents in the U.S. and its territories.
We believe, at BoatingSafer.com, that through education and access to safety equipment
these tragedies can be reduced and, we hope, one day eliminated. With planning
and preparation boating can remain the enjoyable and family oriented pastime
that we all conjecture when we board our vessel. Please, don't let a tragedy
spoil this special activity, educate and prepare yourself and your family for
the unforeseen events that can take place on the water.
"Those who go to sea for pleasure must do so in full knowledge that they may
encounter danger of the highest order."
